Easing Anxiety with Mindfulness
A four-week online journey toward presence, steadiness, and self-compassion
In recent posts, I shared how anxiety has been a constant struggle in my life. And, how much I hated and rejected this part of myself.
I’ve also highlighted how the practices of mindfulness and self-compassion helped me to understand and eventually befriend this difficult part of myself.
Having lived with anxiety for so long, I know how hard it can be: from that baseline edgy feeling to constant rumination, panic attacks, and sleepless nights.
I also want to emphasize again how critical and transformative mindfulness meditation has been for changing my relationship with my anxiety.
Mindfulness didn’t erase my anxiety, but it gave me tools to shift my inner environment so it no longer rules my life. Instead of pushing away or identifying with anxious thoughts and sensations, I learned to meet them with steadiness, presence, and compassion.
The result? My anxiety is still there sometimes, but the volume’s been turned down from 10 to 1.
These practices have supported me so deeply that I feel called to share them. So, I created a new 4-week online workshop called Easing Anxiety With Mindfulness.
Beyond the chance to share the gifts of mindfulness and help people ease their anxiety, I’m also excited to connect live with some of you—my wonderful subscriber community!
With that in mind, I’m offering an exclusive 10% discount for my Substack subscribers. Use this code when registering to get the discount: SUBSCRIBER10.
If this already resonates, you can register for the workshop here. If you’d like to learn more, keep on reading!
Over the course of 4 weekly 90-minute sessions, starting Oct. 19, we’ll meet on Zoom to explore:
What mindfulness is and how meditation works
How anxiety shows up in thoughts, feelings, and the body
Gentle, practical strategies for working with the anxious mind
Mindful ways of being with big emotions and physical sensations
Simple practices to weave mindfulness into daily life
Each session will include brief instruction, guided meditation, and time for questions/responses. You’ll leave with practical tools and a supportive framework for easing anxiety and cultivating calm in the midst of everyday life.
You don’t need prior meditation experience — just curiosity and an open heart.
If anxiety has been part of your story too, I’d love for you to join me in this space of learning, practice, and community. Together, we’ll explore how mindfulness and compassion can help ease its grip.
